Teri Lawson

Teri Lawson Teri began beading about 35 years ago in my previous life as a geologist in Texas. Her love of rocks and minerals drew her to semi-precious beads. She started with stringing and pearl knotting all the wonderful Earth materials together. Then a few years of a career change to teaching, family obligations, and a move to California and beads faded from her life. Then a friend from Texas came to visit and she brought a bead project she was working on with her. Teri loved the look of the tiny seed beads she was working with. They had to find a bead store and SOON! It was all over then, her obsession with beads, color, and all the patterns they form was rekindled. In the last 20 years Teri have worked almost exclusively with seed beads, crystals, and pearls. She has also dabble a bit in PMC, wire, and pearl knotting, but her love is off-loom seed bead weaving. Teri’s professional background is in science and teaching and both these disciplines guide her as a beader and a bead teacher. She am always wanting to discover what happens if she does this or that with beads. The love teaching and encouraging beading students to try new things or new color combinations guides her design work. When teaching a class, she is teaching students a technique or her vision of a design, but what she really wants is for you to take it and change it so that it is your own vision. Teri is currently living Albuquerque, New Mexico with her husband and three kitties.
