Virginia Jensen

Virginia Jensen Virginia Jensen is a beadwork artist, author and designer with a background in fine arts, graphic design, writing and print production. Her designs have been published nationally and internationally. She has taught beadwork, participated in craft fairs, and shown her work in galleries in the Southwest for ten years. Her woven neckpiece “Mother of Dragons” toured with the 2014 Toho Challenge. Her latest book focusing on two-hole beads was released in February of 2015 by Kalmbach Books, including over thirty two-hole beadwork patterns and several new stitches of her own design. Previously she published two books of designs especially for cube beads also with Kalmbach. She co-founded the Art Jeweler’s Guild of the Grand Junction Area in western Colorado in 2007 and is the current president. Virginia’s work is based in her graphic design, her art training, and her love of microengineering pattern and color. She makes jewelry that is classic and truly wearable, and brings a fresh, contemporary look to the beadwork scene.
