Description:
Sakura means cherry blossom in English, and it is a flower that symbolizes Japan and to which the Japanese people have a very special connection. This brooch captures the gorgeous yet ephemeral feature of cherry blossoms, but now you can admire them on your garment forever. This class is taught by Japanese instructors with a translator.
Students will Learn:
Learn how to design delicate flower motifs using seed beads, and how to mount the flowers on the base to finish it as a well-balanced jewelry piece.
Prerequisites:
Must be comfortable with peyote stitch.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
#12 beading needles, assorted beading needles, beading mat, E6000 adhesive, Fireline 6 lb. test, magnifiers, scissors, tape measure, task lamp.
Pliers:
Standard flatnose.
Materials in Kit:
Toho 11/0, 15/0 seed beads; Swarovski briolette pendant crystal; Czech drop bead; pin back.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
