Description:
Make a pair of fun dangle earrings that move with you! Light as a feather, swingy, and musical. Big on impact, these earrings will be all you need to go boho! Students will be given a variety of images to choose from which will be etched into the silver, then decide what shape they will make and the length of each dangle. So no two pairs are exactly the same!
Students will Learn:
Learn the easiest and most economical ways to etch, which papers to use, how to transfer images to metal, how to etch sterling, chemical safety, how to make earring wires, how to hammer metal embellishments and drill metal, surface finishing, and patina techniques.
Prerequisites:
Soldering experience helpful but not necessary.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Bench block, chasing hammer, paper, pen, ruler.
Pliers:
Chainnose, flatnose without grooves, roundnose.
Materials in Kit:
22-gauge sterling silver; 16-, 18-, 20 gauge sterling silver wire; images to share in class.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
