Description:
Casablanca is a vibrant, lively, and textural necklace reminiscent of a Moroccan marketplace. The bohemian feel of the pendant with fringe adds to the effect. The vessel is formed with structural peyote and the softly undulating rope is made with alternating netting and peyote stitch. Design discussions include color building using the color wheel and visual texturing.
Students will Learn:
Students will work structural peyote for the vessels and a rope with netting and peyote transitions.
Prerequisites:
Peyote stitch experience.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
#11 beading needles, beading mat, task lamp.
Materials in Kit:
6/0, 8/0, 11/0, 15/0 Japanese seed beads; One-G beading thread; 4 mm Swarovski briolettes (5040); two 14 mm Swarovski rivolis.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
