Description:
This lightweight and eye-catching necklace is sure to be a conversation starter! If you think this is too big for you, you can easily make this one smaller and use the leftover components to make one or two additional pendants or, with a little imagination, even a bracelet! This project is great for reworking and mix-and-matching into your own designs. This necklace will be available in green, black, purple, and red color palettes.
Students will Learn:
Learn how to do three-dimensional bead embroidery, create new designs with existing shapes, and the twisted herringbone rope technique.
Prerequisites:
Basic knowledge of bead embroidery, brick stitch, and herringbone.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
#12, #13 beading needles; beading mat; beading thread; fine-tip marker; Fireline 6 lb. test; pen; reading glasses; ruler; scissors; striker or matches; task lamp.
Pliers:
Flatnose standard.
Materials in Kit:
Semiprecious cabochons; 11/0, 15/0 seed beads; Swarovski 4 mm round crystals; Swarovski 3 mm bicones; Swarovski drop-shaped pendants; jump rings; Accu-Guard 4 mm wire protectors; felt; leather.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
