Additional Information
Use a cubic right-angle weave technique to create this lovely statement pendant. Its classic design shape, the Quatrefoil or clover is thought to represent faith, hope, love, and laughter. The elephant symbolizes power, wisdom, strength, and general good luck. The pendant is approximately 4-in. long x 2-in. wide (including bail and charm).
Students will Learn:
Learn a cubic right-angle weave (CRAW) technique to create the double-wide clover shape; use peyote stitch to bezel a rivoli; embellishment techniques; how to make a bail and drop.
Experience with CRAW and peyote stitch.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
#12 beading needles, beading thread, Fireline 6 lb. test, microcrystalline wax, reading glasses, scissors, zappers, task lamp.
Materials in Kit:
8/0, 11/0, 15/0 seed beads; 11/0 cylinder beads; 3 mm fire-polished crystals; 4 mm Swarovski crystals; 12 mm Swarovski or Czech glass rivoli; Howelite elephant charm. A portion of the kit is underwritten by TOHO BEADS.
One seat per person per class.
