Description:
My Feathers necklace is made with circular peyote creating a unique open-sided bezel for the Swarovski stones in the pendant portion and tubular Chenille stitch for the rope. The fabulous fringed feathers will help the students understand the inherent issues with flat peyote regarding twists and curling. Feathers arrive unexpectedly, but not without purpose as they are inextricably tied to the belief that birds are spirit guides.
Students will Learn:
Students will work with flat and circular peyote, understanding the foundational aspect of both. Discussions in design and construction.
Prerequisites:
Experience working with circular and odd count flat peyote stitch.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
#11-#12 beading needles, beading mat, task lamp.
Materials in Kit:
11/0, 15/0 Japanese seed beads; 11/0 Delicas; three 30 x 22 mm Swarovski oval stones; 4 mm, 6 mm Swarovski 5040 briolettes; gold vermeil or sterling silver clasp; One-G beading thread.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
