Description:
Want to create some awesome, multi-colored metal clay pieces? Learn how to combine non-precious metals and fire together with gemstones -- without failures!
Students will Learn:
Learn the important techniques involved in creating a metal clay bangle with two Five Star Metal Clays (Red Bronze and Light Bronze). Carrie will provide detailed instructions on combining all five of the clays in multiple combinations and fire successfully. Carrie will assist you with design considerations while you make the piece. You will use both metal clays to create your design and add gemstones to fire in place. You will have access to try a variety of tools and equipment to help you decide what would be best for your future projects. Firing will finish after class and bangles need to be picked up on Saturday.
Prerequisites:
Some prior metal clay experience is highly suggested.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Instructor provides all supplies.
Materials in Kit:
Five Star Light Bronze Clay bangle, 25 g Five Star Light Bronze Clay, 25 g Five Star Red Bronze Clay, choice of colored CZs, use of tools and equipment in class.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
