Be exposed to the ultimate transparency that only resin can offer in jewelry. Use layers of transparent images, text, and photo transfers to create extraordinary jewelry. Explore the vast possibilities resins have to offer in jewelry in combination with metal bezels. Learn proper mixing and application techniques of resin, and safety tips. This hands on class offers many foundational techniques from filling hollow bezel forms with photo text, and foil, and the layering of materials.
Students will Learn:
Explore the use of resin by learning proper mixing, pouring, and layering tips and techniques; learn how different materials can be used in Ice Resin.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Permanent marker (pointed), rubber stamps, scissors, tin snips, photos or objects you would like to include in your finished piece.
Chainnose without grooves, standard needlenose, standard roundnose.
Materials in Kit:
Ice Resin, metal bezels, metallic foils, 2 mixed-metal bezels, bronze sheet metal, sandpaper, 16-gauge round wire, plastic gloves, image transfers, mixing cups and sticks.
One seat per person per class.
