Description:
Have you had a chance to use a rolling mill yet? This incredible little machine can press a pattern into metal from the craziest materials -- burlap, sandpaper, window screen, cupcake wrappers, etc. It’s fantastic! The instructors will show you how to imprint a design onto sterling silver metal, then add a little cabochon to make an elegant pair of earrings.
Students will Learn:
How to use a rolling mill to texture metal; how to set a pre-made bezel cup with a rivet; how to set a stone.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Bench block, rawhide hammer, metal shears, chasing hammer.
Materials in Kit:
Sterling silver sheet, fine-silver bezel cup, choice of cabochons, earring wires, consumables to use in class.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
