Description:
The inspiration for this classical yet gorgeous blue-themed brooch comes from the blue stained glass windows of a church. The main focus of this project will be to mount a variety of beads around the focal component on the filigree using fine nylon-coated wire, which helps make a durable jewelry piece. This class is taught by a Japanese instructor with a translator.
Students will Learn:
Learn how to frame the focal bead in peyote stitch; how to mount beads in place on the filigree using fine nylon-coated wire.
Prerequisites:
Students must be comfortable with peyote stitch.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
#11 beading needles, beading mat, E6000 adhesive, magnifiers, scissors, tape measure, task lamp.
Pliers:
Flatnose without grooves, flush side-cutting.
Materials in Kit:
Ttoho seed beads, assorted Swarovski crystals, filigrees, beading foundation, beading thread, nylon-coated wire.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
