Description:
Sterling silver wire is used to make these beautiful twisted and riveted bracelets. Students will practice on bronze wire to perfect the technique and then move on to sterling silver to make the class project. You will want to make more than one because they are so much fun to wear.
Students will Learn:
Learn how to anneal and forge wire, how to work with a gas torch, twist hot wire, and rivet. Multiple finishes to the bracelets will be shown.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
10-gauge sterling silver wire (3 ft.), ball-peen hammer, bench block, bench pin, fine-tip marker, jeweler's saw, metal files, rawhide hammer, ruler, writing materials.
Materials in Kit:
Bronze wire, Mapp gas, rivets, drill bits, patina, polishing pads, consumbables.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
