Description:
Using peyote stitch and vintage jewelry pieces, students will create this necklace of rings highlighting pieces of old jewelry.
Students will Learn:
How to incorporate new or old parts from jewelry into this necklace of peyote rings.
Prerequisites:
Strong peyote skills.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 18 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
#11-12 beading needles, beading mat, beading thread, Fireline 6 lb. test, Nymo D, reading glasses, scissors, task lamp, zappers. Students will need to bring a variety of old jewelry pieces such as vintage earrings, pins, small buttons, broken pieces where portions can be cut off to be incorporated into the piece.
Pliers:
Flush side-cutting, needlenose.
Materials in Kit:
11/0, 15/0 seed beads; 11/0 cylinder seed beads; MiniDuos; clasp; rhinestone cup chain.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
