Description:
Marilee will guide you through the knotting technique of tatting with a shuttle and will teach you how to read a basic tatting pattern. Work at your own pace and skill level while receiving individual attention in this technique-based class. After some practice, you will be ready to begin Marilee’s original tatted Heart Aglow design that uses basic tatting skills including beads in picots.
Students will Learn:
Learn how to make the double stitch, which is the most difficult and essential skill for following any tatting pattern. Students will also learn the basic design elements commonly used such as chains, rings, picots, and joins.
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 12 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Beading mat, scissors, task lamp.
Materials in Kit:
Package of 2 Clover tatting shuttles, size 12/1.00 mm steel crochet hook, size 10 Lizbeth thread, size 3 thread for practicing, collapsible eye beading needles, embroidery needles, Toho Takumi 11/0 seed beads, Swarovski 6 mm crystals, necklace chain, jump rings.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
