Additional Information
Get the glimmer, shine and mysterious look of an authentic raku-inspired design. The beauty of this Japanese technique is different every time you fire. Steven will show students how to create their own mini-raku setup at home using dried herbs as a pleasant addition to other combustible materials. Each piece pulled out of your raku pot will be unique and different every time you pull your treasure from the ash pile.
Students will Learn:
Will focus on the complete set of steps to make raku-enameled components with an emphasis on creating separate pieces that can be used in a variety of projects.
Students should feel comfortable working with a torch, very small details, and multiple processes at once. Watching Steven’s free Basic Torch Enameling video at will help support this class experience.

Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Paper, pen.
Materials in Kit:
Students will have access to all of the tools and materials needed to produce the class projects including metal and enamels to produce a variety of completed designs.
