Description:
This graceful necklace is interesting and surprising to make -- students will find themselves delighted as they work their way through the variety of stitches and techniques utilized in the design. No piece or part is super difficult, but there are many bits to engage their mind and hands as they create their own gorgeous flower, tassel, and pull them all together into a necklace fit to wear at the Biltmore Estate.
Students will Learn:
Work through multiple techniques as they create a diagonal peyote flower, bezel set chatons, make a peyote and fringe tassel, and attach all the pieces together on a beaded necklace base.
Prerequisites:
Previous peyote stitch experience required
Project completion:
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Beading mat, scissors.
Materials in Kit:
11/0 Delicas; 11/0, 15/0 seed beads; chatons 39ss; 2 mm, 3 mm fire-polished beads; Swarovski 4 mm pearls, 3 mm bicones; ribbon; beading thread; Fireline 6 lb, test; #11 Tulip needles; fully illustrated, color printed instructions.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
