Description:
Make a statement by creating a Bold Connection to finish your beadwork. Pieces may be used to finish necklaces or bracelets.
Students will Learn:
How to use a rolling mill to create texture; some sawing; sweat soldering and soldering difficult joints; how to shape and forge wire to create a one-of-a-kind toggle.
Prerequisites:
Must know how to string and finish beads into a necklace/bracelet as it will not be covered in class. Must also have silver soldering experience.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Bench pin, flush side-cutters (ultra-flush preferred). Optional: Task lamp, magnifiers.
Pliers:
Chainnose, flatnose standard, nylon-jaw wire straightener.
Materials in Kit:
Three strands of beads; sterling silver stock, crimp beads; beading wire, four strands semi-precious beads; saw blades; sandpaper.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
