Students will Learn:
How to join two basic bead weaving stitches together to create a multi-dimensional bracelet; how to read a peyote word chart, create a bead rolled edge, and use ribbon ends to finalize the bracelet for a polished look; how to make an embroidery thread tassel and beaded bead to attach to the end of the bracelet.
Knowledge and prior experience with flat peyote and ladder stitch.
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
18-in. beading pad (without nap), pen, scissors, tape measure, task lamp, zappers, G-S Hypo Cement.
Small chainnose, small flatnose.
Materials in Kit:
15/0 seed beads; 11/0 Delicas; silver-plated ribbon ends, textured jump rings, channel bead, lobster clasp; embroidery thread; Fireline 6 lb. test; needles; color instructions with peyote word and graph chart.
