Description:
Each beaded button is a jewel-like design. This is a unique way to combine beadwork and function -- is it a button, broach, pendant or artwork?
Students will Learn:
Explore color, texture, and design worked in peyote stitch on a Dritz button form. Each student will be encouraged to create a design, step outside the box, try something new, and mistakes may be the best element in design.
Prerequisites:
Peyote, bead embroidery.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Assorted beading needles; 8/0, 11/0,15/0 seed beads; Delicas; crystals; pearls; accent beads; beading mat; beading thread; Fireline 8 lb. and 10 lb. test; Optivisors; reading glasses; scissors; task lamp; thread conditioner; work surface.
Materials in Kit:
Dritz button forms, interfacing, batik material, focal beads.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
