This fast-paced, immersion technique class is the perfect way for students to move from a beginner beader to a skilled peyote technician with a complete understanding of the stitch. Armed with their beading kit full of high quality beads, needles, threads, wax, and more, students will be able to directly experience the many different forms and styles of peyote stitch. Students will also acquire skills in various peyote stitch techniques, embellishing, and reading patterns.
Students will Learn:
This class focuses entirely on technique and designing with peyote stitch and all its variations. Students will go on a step-by-step journey experiencing even-count, odd-count, peyote shapes, tubular peyote, bezeling, reading patterns, increasing and decreasing, zipping, stitching-in-the-ditch (just to name a few) while using a wide variety of beads to enhance their own creativity.
Students should have a willingness to explore and a desire to learn; be able to thread a needle and work with small beads.
Project will not be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.

Reading glasses, scissors, task lamp.
Materials in Kit:
Quality Japanese 8/0 to 15/0 seed beads; Japanese 10/0, 11/0 cylinder beads; Czech 2 mm pearls; Swarovski 3 mm pearls, crystals; Swarovski rivolis; Swarovski 8 mm cube; Japanese beading thread; assorted Fireline, wax,needles; beading mat.
