Expand your wireworking skills as you discover the art of making wire-woven rings. Students will focus on understanding the basic construction and design, and will explore techniques for proper ring sizing.
Students will Learn:
Learn intermediate to advanced wire-weaving techniques, balling up wire ends, and ring sizing.
A basic understanding of over-over weave would be helpful (basic weaving instructions available on the instructor’s website, www.designsbykaska.com.
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Flush wire cutters, needle tool, ruler (not measuring tape), blue masking tape (1-in. 3M brand best), medium-tip permanent marker, magnification, task lamp, work mat.
Chainnose without groves, nylon jaw.
Materials in Kit:
Fine-silver wire in two gauges, choice of a 10 mm bead, illustrated handout, use of some of instructor's tools and supplies.
One seat per person per class.
