Phyllis Flora has been beading since 2000, and is primarily self taught. Four years ago, she chucked a life of crime (as a criminal defense attorney, that is), to pursue jewelry design and teaching full time. She developed and taught hundreds of classes at her bead store in Canton, Massachusetts, pflora beads. Phyllis delights when students run with the techniques they learn in class and go on to develop their own designs and techniques. Although she started her beading life as a staunch seed beader, more recently her work has focused on metal and wirework.
