Patty started beadweaving many years ago and is a retired Network Engineer. She loves to incorporate Swarovski crystals, pearls, and seed beads into each piece. She also enjoys using traditional off-loom weaving techniques or combining multiple techniques to create intricate layers of color and texture into wearable art. Her favorite stitches are Herringbone and Right-angle Weave.
Inspiration for her pieces comes primarily from the Glamour of the Red Carpet and Hollywood Celebrities. Some would describe her jewelry as having a Victorian/Antique look.
Patty exhibits her wearable art in over 35 Art Shows throughout the year, traveling to many states. In 2009, she won the Artistic Honorable Mention Award for her entry in the Bead Challenge at the Art Glass and Bead Show in Madison, WI. She also had two designs as finalist in the 2010 BeadDreams Contest. For the past several years, she has taught classes at Midwest Beads in Brookfield, Wisconsin, and at the Art Glass and Bead show in Madison, Wisconsin.
When not exhibiting her Art, she travels with her husband to the NHRA National and Divisional Races and takes her bead mat with her; one of the benefits of taking this hobby turned business with you wherever you go.
