Patti started designing things from the time she could pick up a crayon.... Looking back she drove her mother a bit batty by rearranging her bedroom monthly and repainting the walls whenever the whim hit her.
She designed all her own clothes (except for her hippie jeans) all through high school and she has always been moved by color and texture. She has painted watercolors, thrown pottery, woven tapestries, created sculptures and stained glass windows, among other things.
She makes her jewelry designs formed in her mind, inspired by music, poetry, the beauty in nature, the organic shape of materials and stones she uses, and events in my life. The high quality of her work shines through in the even spacing of her bead work and the quality of materials she uses. Each of her creations is truly a timeless collectible artwork to be enjoyed for a lifetime.
She is a native of the lush mountain area of Upstate New York, but has lived 30 years on the shores of Rhode Island enjoying the surf, sand, sea glass and driftwood she has collected. Now she is back in the mountains of New York for next few years. She is enjoying the woods and lakes again with my beau, her 2 dogs and 4 saucy cats.
As a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design she has worked designing high end kitchens, baths, and residential remodels for over almost two decades as a profession. She discovered beading 13 years ago when her best girlfriend made her a strung beaded bracelet and she has been obsessed with it ever since.
She is an award winning designer, both Nationally and Internationally, and participates in juried Art shows in the NY/ New England area. She also enjoys teaching other beaders about technique and design through the Central New York Bead Society.
