For the past few years, you might have seen Vanessa Walilko walking around the Bead&Button Show floor in one of her pieces of chain mail clothing. She's happy to be teaching at Bead&Button again. Vanessa has been teaching chainmail and beadwork for a number of years and loves teaching others ancient crafts.
In fact, Kalmbach recently published her book of chain mail designs, “Chain Mail + Color”>, which features 20 chain mail jewelry designs that incorporate aluminum rings and components.
After taking a seed bead jewelry class when she was 8, Vanessa was immediately hooked and has been designing jewelry every since. She specializes in putting her meticulous creativity to good use by creating large pieces of chain mail clothing, as well as, beaded jewelry and sculpture. Vanessa has taken awards for her work in Bead&Button's BeadDreams for several years, as well as the British Bead Awards.
