Michael David Sturlin Michael David Sturlin's career spans four decades as a professional studio jewelry artist, educator, writer, industry consultant, and award-winning goldsmith with recognition from the World Gold Council, the American Jewelry Design Council, and Jewelers of America New Designers Gallery. Mr. Sturlin is a popular visiting guest artist and workshop and conference presenter sharing his expertise and insight internationally with students at every level from beginner to accomplished professional. He was a faculty member of the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts 2005-2017, faculty Bead&Button Show 2007-2016, adjunct faculty Mesa Arts Center 2008-2011, adjunct faculty Metalwerx 2005-2007. His jewelry has been exhibited in premier galleries across North America, included in more than a dozen national and international jewelry magazines, and featured in the books Masters: Gold, Crochet Wire Jewelry, Profiting by Design, The Jeweler's Bench Book, Metal Artist’s Workbench, and Secret Shop Weapons. Mr. Sturlin authored the “Metalsmithing 101" column in Art Jewelry magazine 2009-2016 and has published numerous feature articles on applied techniques in goldsmithing, creativity and design, and professional business development for visual artists.
